Daingean have two matches in Divison 3 of the league this weekend, on Saturday, Daingean play Rhode in Daingean at 3:30.
On Monday, Daingean make the trip to Ferbane and the match throws in at 4:40.

Dirty Old Town

Daingean had a very successful social outing in Dungarvan two weeks ago, with ex GAA President Sean Kelly making a special gueest appearance and wishing the club the best for the future, Pictures from that weekend can be viewed

Monday 30th January
Daingean had their first training session of the year last Friday night, there was a strong turnout for such an early start to year,and with the league starting next weekend, continous good turnouts will needed to ensure both teams retain their division 2 and 3 status.
Tuesday 20th December
The Annual Married and Singles match will again take place this year on St Stephens's Day. The event, as per the last couple of years will be fancy dress, so get your costumes ready.
Saturday 26th October
The club are organising a social outing to Dungarvan in Co. Waterford on the weekend of the 24th and 25th of February. This is a club event rather than a players outing and is open to everyone.
The cost will be €95 pps for 2 nights accomodation at the Park Hotel in Dungarvan which includes breakfast on both mornings and a four course evening meal on the Saturday night.

Congratulations to Cappincur on winning the Junior A Championship at the weekend, the club would like to wish them the best of luck representing Offaly in the Leinster championship

County Final
Daingean will play Cappincur in the Junior A Final next Saturday the 22nd of October at 3:00pm in O'Connor Park. This is a huge day for the club and all support would be greatly appreciated.

The club would like to extend their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Peter McCormack who died during the week.
Peter was an integral part of the Daingean team who won two Senior Championships in the 60's.

Wednesday 5th October
Daingean will play Kilcormac Killoughey in the Semi-Final of the Championship this Saturday evening at 4:30pm in Gracefield.

Daingean will play their quarter final against Tullamore this Saturday evening at 5:30pm in Gracefield. All support would be much appreciated.
Monday 19th September
Commiserations to St.Vincents on losing the u14 final at the weekend. However both players and management can be look back on the year with pride after winning the Offaly Feile competition. Congratulations to all involved and keep up the good work for the future.
Saturday 20th July
Daingean travelled to Ballycumber yesterday evening for the second last match of the group stage, Ballycumber played much the better football in the 1st half and Daingean were lucky to go into the half time break level, however in the 2nd half, Daingean took control and ranout 7pt winners
Sunday 7th July
In the Junior B Championship, Daingean drew with Tullamore last night in Daingean, this draw ensures that Daingean qualify for the Quarter Final stages.
However more effort is needed by all players as we enter the Knockout stages of the championship to have any hope of progressing

Sunday 24th July
Daingean drew with Clara in the 4th group game of the Junior A Championhip. In the Junior B championship, Daingean lost out to Kinnity
Wednesday 20th July
Daingean played the Division 3 league final against Ballycumber on Monday night in Kinnity. On what was a close contest throughout, Ballycumber won on a scoreline of 10pts to Daingean's 9pts. Hard luck to all involved but it was great to see the team contest the Final, considering they only got promoted last year.
Sunday 10th July
Daingean will play Kilcormac in Round 3 of the Junior A Championship tomorrow evening at 7:30pm in Kilcormac.

--Race Night--
Daingean GAA will be holding a Race Night this Saturday night in Farrells at 9:30pm. race cards are available from any player.
Wednesday 8th June
This Saturday evening as part of a team bonding session, the team will attempt the Croghan 5km assault course. Everyone is expected to attend; more details will be announced at training Friday evening.

Daingean GAA has a hectic schedule of four games within 8 days starting with Doon in Division 2 of the league on Wednesday.
These series of games will stretch the squad to its limits so can all eligible players make a big effort to tog out for as many matches as possible.

Daingean play their first match in Division 3 on Sunday the 6th, this match is against Ballyfore in Ballyfore and starts at 12:00pm

Daingean will play Pullough in a challenge match this Friday evening in preparation for the League which starts in two weeks time. This match is in Pullough at 7:30pm

Nigel Dunne has been appointed Daingean GAA trainer for the coming year.
Training continues every Tuesday and Friday night in preparation for the league which starts in February
